WELCOME TO THE CONTROL HUB.
Control (formerly known as “P7” or “Project 7”) is a new upcoming action adventure, third-person shooter videogame, developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games. Control is set to be released in 2019 for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Development on Control began before the release of Remedy’s previous videogame, Quantum Break. The game is powered by the very same engine that was utilized in Quantum Break, Remedy’s very own Northlight Engine. Instead of focusing on creating a large and complex story, the game’s writers put more emphasis on gameplay; creating a game world and universe that is rich enough for players to craft their own stories. Another goal for the team was to create a game that has high replayability.
Control was officially revealed at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s E3 2018 press conference. It will be Remedy’s first game on a Sony platform since 2003’s Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne.
Control is Jesse Fadens’s story. The main plot focuses on her personal search for answers as she grows into the role of the Director. The world of Control has its own story, as do the allies Jesse meets along the way. Side-quests and Secrets are everywhere.
Faden’s troubled past has led her to New York, to a huge concrete skyscraper known as the Oldest House. Within lies the headquarters of a secretive government agency known as the Federal Bureau of Control. Things there go horribly wrong. And for Jesse, they really do: the Bureau is invaded by the otherworldly Hiss, a force that corrupts everything in its way and kills the Director of the Bureau.
Through mysterious, ritualistic events, Jesse becomes the new Director of the Bureau and has to take on the Hiss with her newly enhanced supernatural abilities. She also has something called the Service Weapon, a special, supernaturally enhanced gun that only the Director of the Bureau can use, which can change form at her will.

Who is Jesse Faden?
Jesse Faden is the main protagonist in Control. Her troubled past has led her to Manhatten, New York. She’s employed at a secretive goverment agency called the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC). Through mysterious, ritualistic events, Jesse becomes the new Director of the Bureau.
What is The Oldest House?
The Oldest House is nothing more but a codename for the FBC. The FBC Headquarters is a huge concrete skyscraper that’s being taken over ny a supernatural force called The Hiss.
Who are the Hiss?
The main enemy in the game is a supernatural force called The Hiss. We do not know yet what form it takes or what abilities it has. However, it is capable of taking over objects, persons and deforming the surrounding space. When taken over by The Hiss, enemies (Federal agents of the Bureau) appear to turn into ghouls.
What is the Director’s Pistol or Service Weapon?
Faden has something called the Service Weapon, a special, supernaturally enhanced gun that only the Director of the Bureau can use, which can change form at her will. The changing form of the Director pistol is hinting that the weapon can change shape and function. Possibly as the player progresses through the game, new attacks and abilities will open up. Developers demoing the game described the weapon as King Arthur’s Excalibur; Only someone worthy of its power can wield it.
Is Control an open world game?
Players can explore The Oldest House and stumble unto side-quests and secrets. It’s shifting architecture and unpredictable nature is creating a world within a singular location.
