Destiny 2 has officially been announced via Twitter today. Apart from an image that contains the game’s logo, no other information about the much anticipated sequel has been released. Although the image does display a lot of fire and destruction, which leads us to believe the game might take place in a more “ominous” setting this time.
The announcement seems to confirm the game’s existence after a leaked artwork poster found its way on the internet last week. The logo of the leaked poster is exactly the same as the one in the official image, so the release date on the leaked poster, September 8th, is likely to be true. Though, neither Bungie or Activision have confirmed this date yet.
It’s rumored the game will release on PS4, Xbox one and for the first time, PC.
Update 28/03/2017: A short trailer was released, teasing the worldwide reveal trailer coming March 30.
