Well, well, well! Isn’t that a surprise? Rockstar Games have just announced new versions of their blockbuster detective thriller L.A. Noire. Scheduled for release on November 14, 2017 for Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. I think Nintendo Switch owners are going to be delighted to see a developer like Rockstar Games to be supporting the platform. Could this also mean their future line up of games are to be released on the popular console?
We’ll have to see about that. Alongside the new console versions, Rockstar is also planning to release a specific set of missions to support the HTC Vive. L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files will contain seven cases from the original game rebuilt specifically with the HTC Vive hardware in mind. This will deliver a detective experience like never before.
The version releasing on Switch and current generation consoles will also feature updated/new mechanics and visual improvements, benefitting from new processing power or technologies. No trailer or screenshots of the new version was released with the press release. Knowing Rockstar, this is likely to change in the next few weeks.
