In a statement released by Remedy Entertainment, the studio revealed that its upcoming videogame, currently codenamed “P7”, is to be released on a wider range of platforms. Quantum Break was the first game running on the studio’s Northlight Engine and was released exclusive for Xbox One. However, the statement reveals the company is also developing its Northlight technology to be compatible with Playstation 4 consoles. Theoretically, this could mean Quantum Break could be released on Playstation 4 as well, but since Microsoft owns the IP this seems very unlikely.
Along with new board members joining, the statement also reveals the studio leaves behind a very successful fiscal year. The company’s revenue increased by almost 20% and underlined Quantum Break was the biggest entertainment production to come out of Finland at the time of its release.
