The Alan Wake TV show has been in the works for quite some time. Announced by Remedy in late 2018, the studio has been silent on the project ever since. That changes today. As the twelfth anniversary of Alan Wake is coming up (tomorrow!), Remedy had some exciting news to share regarding this project.
For starters, the project is still being worked on. Remedy shared it now has a partner on the project: AMC Networks (Breaking Bad, Walking Dead). AMC has bought the rights to produce and broadcast the show. While we’re still a long way off before we’ll see Alan on our TVs, we’re now one step closer to this becoming a reality.
For those that might remember, prior to the release of Alan Wake on Xbox, Microsoft created a video series called Bright Falls, which takes place before the events of the game. The series stars Jake Fischer played by Christopher Forsyth, who travels to Bright Falls to do an article about Emil Hartman, a therapist, the founder of Cauldron Lake Lodge, and the author of “The Creator’s Dilemma”.
There are six episodes in total lasting five minutes each and might give some sort of indication of what to expect, or at least entertain you while we wait for the real thing!
