Some sad news hit the interwebs today – Remedy’s Alan Wake is going offline from stores. This is due to the expiration of music license agreements for the game. As you might recall, apart from an stellar soundtrack composed by Petri Alanko, Alan Wake also featured songs from other artists after the ending of each episode. All songs were connected to the game in a certain way – either by lyrics or atmosphere. Luckily, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is not effected.
If you do not yet own the game, now is your final chance. And Remedy is about to make you an offer you can’t refuse: For 48 hours (starting Saturday 13th of May 10AM PST) you can grab Alan Wake (Including DLC) and Alan Wake American Nightmare with 90% discount!
If you already own the game, you have nothing to worry about. The game will continue to work for you just fine. Alan Wake will no longer be available for purchase on PC and Xbox stores after May 15th.
