Finally! After days of speculation, Remedy finally confirmed Control is slated for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox and PC platforms on Tuesday August 27, 2019.
The date originally surfaced after Microsoft updated its Store page for the Xbox One version of game…ahead of time apparently! International game media and press were then quick to pick up and spread the message, as the question of when the game would hit the market has been often raised by gamers around the world. We deliberately chose not to run that story until we had some sort of confirmation. Just minutes ago, we obtained some undeniable proof that confirmed the date. Proof we were asked not to publish with the promise a official confirmation was on its way.
A few minutes later, Game Informer also informed people on the leak, but with the addition they did receive confirmation from Remedy. Thus, the date is now set in stone. Remedy themselves have not yet published any content on their official channels acknowledging the date, but we’re expecting some of that soon!
