In the moments after Remedy announced Control is coming to next-generation platforms, the company revealed some more exciting new things. Let’s wrap up the last few days and make you’re up to speed again about all thing Control!
The CONTROL Soundtrack Vinyl
Remedy Entertainment and Laced Records have teamed up to bring the music of Control to vinyl and digital. The deluxe double LP will feature music by an all-star composer line-up of BAFTA award-winning Petri Alanko (Alan Wake, Quantum Break) and G.A.N.G. award-winning Martin Stig Andersen (Limbo, INSIDE, Wolfenstein.)
As you might’ve come to expect from Laced Records, both the cover and the record are beautifully designed in a color scheme that fits with the game. It’s a beautiful addition to any collector’s closet. If you’re interested in buying, click here!
About AWE
Control’s first DLC, called The Foundation, is scheduled for release on June 25th on Xbox. Remedy acknowledges the frustration of Xbox players after having to wait for the DLC’s timed exclusivity to PS4 to end. Having said that, fans are already wondering what’s next for Jesse Faden. We know the second post-ending DLC is titled “AWE” and will revolve around the mysterious disappearance of Alan Wake. However, not much else is known at this point.
Remedy’s community manager, Vida Starcevic, stated on Reddit, development on the project is proceeding according to schedule. It’s being developed entirely from home, as all Remedy employees have been relocated to work from home in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic. The AWE expansion for Control will be released on all platforms simultaneously and will be accompanied by a free update for all owners of Control.
“This free update will include adding checkpoints to some of the tougher fights towards the end of Control’s main campaign, and Control Points will be moved closer to certain boss fights so that you will get to the boss faster should you die and respawn. We’re working on rebalancing some of the combat encounters as well. Other things are also in the works, including some stuff specific to the PC version, but we’ll talk about those closer to launch!” – Vida said on Reddit.
