Remedy Entertainment has reached an impressive milestone: Alan Wake 2 has surpassed two million copies sold! The game has now finally become profitable, as all production and marketing spending is now paid. This exciting news was revealed through Remedy’s latest financial statement, where the studio also shared promising updates on its future projects.
Among these updates, it was confirmed that the development of Control 2 is progressing smoothly and will officially enter the full-production phase next month. That means the studio will take all the concepts created during pre-production and will now develop them fully.
Development on FBC: Firebreak is also progressing steadily. In December, the development team conducted a successful closed technical test with external players, focusing on matchmaking and back-end services. The test provided valuable data and insights, which are being used to refine and improve the game as we’re headed for release later this year.
Last but not least, the studio noted that development on the Max Payne 1/2 remakes is progressing steadily. Since 2025 will focus on the release of FBC: Firebreak, it’s likely we’ll hear more about the Max Payne remakes sometime next year.
