Today Remedy posted the second episode in their Dev Diary series, quite strikingly titled “Controlling the situation.” The title clearly sets the tone, indicating that this episode is all about Control’s gameplay.
The video starts with Control’s Lead Designer Paul Ehreth, explaining how the less-linearity of Control impacts the gameplay; to give the player options and let them adapt to the situation before them. To get in Control.

Each of them explain, with their professional background, more on the different approach that was required and how it impacts the player’s experience.
