A new update for Control, dubbed the “March 2020 update”, is almost ready for deployment. In a short trailer released today, Remedy shows off some of the improvements we can expect. A new ability called “Shield Rush” will be added, enabling the player to dash forward while the shield ability is activated. Improved map readability, the in-game map now has increased contrast and makes it more clear to the player what areas are left to explore. Nvidia DLSS 2.0 for RTX users (PC only feature) which should result in better performance. The ability tree has been revised and now allows for point reallocation, which enables you to drastically switch strategies during your play.
The update will be released later this week on March 26, the same day Control’s first paid expansion, The Foundation, will release.
