The 20th anniversary of Max Payne is already two weeks behind us. We still have some content pieces to put out and ground to cover, so the celebrations are not over yet! First, let’s catch up a bit. On July 23, the date Max Payne was released 20 years ago, Remedy released a video starring Sam Lake and James McCaffrey thanking fans for their devotion. Lake says he’s still receiving messages to this day of fans thanking him for his work on the franchise.
He continues by saying he has been “rummaging at Remedy HQ” and found Max’s iconic leather jacket and a Hawaiian shirt. McCaffrey, on the other hand, is seen in front of a microphone thanking fans. When Lake re-appears on screen, he wears both the jacket and shirt while pulling off the ever-famous constipated grimace. McCaffrey then pulls the mic towards him and starts a monologue as Max Payne! How’s that for fan service?!
