A handful of influencers from Norway, Denmark, Finland and Sweden were lucky enough to have been invited to visit the Remedy studio. Earlier this week, each of them received a letter by post that contained an invite with the text:
“Agent, For centuries, our elite organization has kept the public safe from unseen forces. Our mission is to expand the limits of human understanding and contain those elements we cannot yet control. Join us to enter the hallowed halls of the Oldest House and take your place among the rank of our silent heroes. Get ready to discover a world unknown in Espoo, Finland on the 9th of April 2019.”
Invited were Dave Cad, Miro Wallin, Tobias “Tejbz” Ojerfalk, Charly “ComKean” Thelin, Herba “”Herbailua” Juuso, Lasse Vestergaard, Kattekryp and Vinkare. When the group arrived they received a warm welcome by the Remedy marketing team as well as various developers from the game.
First up, the guys were introduced to the game by Thomas Puha (Remedy’s Head of Communications) who narrated some gameplay from Control’s Central Research level. After the introduction, the guys were toured through the Remedy offices and got to participated in various tasks required in game design. For example; Sound design (Remedy’s Senior Sound Designer, Ville Sorsa, talked to them for a few minutes, showing off various techniques and instruments), voice acting (Danish YouTuber ComKean was allowed to voice a few enemy grunts), visited the motion capture studio and facial scans (Swedish Streamer Tejbz got his face scanned). The session concluded with some hands-on time with Control. Last but not least, some group photos were made.
