The E3 conferences are only a month away from happening. Big gaming brands and publishers are teasing us on a daily base regarding possible reveal and showcases. For example, Bethesda has been teasing an upcoming sequel to Rage for days now. It is definitely an exciting time for gamers around the world. After Destructiod broke news of a possible P7 reveal during E3, more websites picked up the story. We are now left with the question during whose conference (that is, if it is revealed) we will get to see it.
It’s of little value but a tricky thing to predict. With P7 going multi-platform, there might have been talks with Sony to reveal it during theirs to underline the occasion. As a matter of fact, Sony has released some details regarding the contents of their press conference which indicated that PlayStation won’t have a traditional press conference. Instead the company chose to feature “exclusive looks and deep dives on four” upcoming titles. those titles being Death Stranding, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man, and The Last of Us Part II.
Apart from these four “pillars”, there will also be significant focus on “Third-party publishing partners and indie developers.” Comments like these give us strong reason to believe Project 7 might indeed be part of their lineup.
On the other hand, Microsoft is of course also no stranger in showing third party games during their E3 conferences. The Redmond gaint has been Remedy’s previous publishing partner. And for quite some time! Resulting in two games that released exclusively for the Xbox platform. While Remedy has clearly stated P7 will break with the studio’s “tradition” to make Xbox exclusives, the reveal might still be in Microsoft’s favor because of the long history and strong ties they have with their former publisher.
Either way, for us Remedy fans it doesn’t really matter. What matters most, is that the curtains on this mysterious project are finally lifted. Yet I’m curious to know how you think P7 will be revealed at E3. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below or take part in our Twitter poll.
If Remedy’s #P7 is to appear during E3, on who’s show do you think it will be premiered?
