The title of this news article has been blatantly copied from the PlayStation Blog. Not because of a lack of creativity but because it perfectly encapsulates the themes we’re about to discuss. If you’re reading this chances are high you’ve undoubtedly spent some time within the shifting walls of the Oldest House. The aesthetic of Control is phenomenal and overall manages to deliver a great atmosphere. “Take Control” the song written and recorded by the band Poets of The Fall is used in the game during a section where the narrative and level-design reach an absolute high.
It’s to no one’s surprise the distinctive design, lighting, and effects featured in Control had us see fans begging for a Photo-mode. Thus, many considered it a missed opportunity a Photo mode wasn’t included at launch. However, what might seem easy to implement for us usually never is for the developer. We’re very happy to share with you that the long-awaited Photo-mode is finally coming today, in update 1.04.
Remedy’s community manager, Vida Starcevic, joyfully shared the news on the official PlayStation Blog. She carefully explains how the mode can be accessed and what gamers can expect in terms of options and environment alterations. In the next few days, we’re expecting a lot of amazing user-generated content and if you’re into that kind of stuff, you should consider following Remedy/Control and us on other Social media.
We’re currently toying with the idea to host some sort of contest in which you get to submit us your most beautiful screenshot. More about that later!
