The wait is finally over! FBC: Firebreak is here. Remedy’s very first multiplayer first-person shooter has officially launched, and I’m counting down the hours until I can dive in myself later today.
Sadly, I’m stuck at work for now… but that hasn’t stopped me from streaming it most of the day (gotta lock in those Twitch drops, of course). From what I’ve seen, it’s absolute chaos in the best way — and I can’t wait to join the fray.
Not sure what Firebreak is all about? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Last week, we published a quick primer to get you up to speed and ready to enlist in the Bureau’s final stand against the Hiss. It’s everything you need to know before jumping in.
It feels a bit surreal to be writing about yet another game launch from Remedy. The studio has branched out into multiple teams, each crafting their own unique experience and Firebreak is the latest result of that creative split. With the Max Payne remakes and Control 2 still in development, there’s no slowing down. And let’s be honest: behind the scenes, they’re probably already laying the groundwork for what’s next. These are exciting times to be a Remedy fan.
Planning to jump into Firebreak? Let us know — we’re always on the lookout for fellow community members to squad up with. The more, the messier.
Huge congratulations to Remedy on the launch of FBC: Firebreak! And a big thank you for providing us with a copy of the game. We can’t wait to dive in and cause some Bureau-sanctioned chaos. It’s time to clean house!
