Production on the first paid DLC for last year’s Control has wrapped. Remedy shared the news via tweet that contained a photo of the team toasting on their achievement. Set for release on March 26, The Foundation will delve into the history of the Oldest House. At the request of the ever-mysterious Board, Jesse must explore what lies beneath the Bureau as she returns order to the Foundation and the Oldest House itself.
The Foundation will be followed later this year by a second paid expansion AWE. Short for Altered World Events. Promotional artwork for the expansion heavily implies it will be related to Alan Wake. Both expansions can be bought separately, as part of the Deluxe Edition or through a Season Pass.
Earlier this week Remedy also shared a video to demonstrate how their visual effects team pulled off some of the stunning stuff in Control. The video contains a detailed breakdown of reactive environments and dynamic destruction, which are some of the key visual elements in Control.
