The newly released Expeditions mode for Control is being well received by the community. Expeditions require the player to complete a visit to The Formation within a limited amount of time. Once you’re in, you have 25 minutes to complete four different arenas. If you die, you lose progress in the current arena. If you don’t complete the four arenas before the clock runs out, you lose!
It’s easy to understand a mode like this scratches the itch on the back of the speedrunning community. Remedy and 505 Games were kind enough to team up to organize one big speedrunning competition. The objective is simple: Tweet Remedy a screengrab with your fastest completion time in Expeditions with the hashtag #ControlSpeedrun. As for the prizes? The fastest time will take home a Playstation 4 with a signed copy of the game by Remedy. If that isn’t reason enough to try your best, what else is? 😀
