We’ve received quite a few messages by gamers who are planning to play Control on PC. Many are wondering what system specifications they’d need in order to enjoy the game with decent FPS. First and foremost, if you’re planning to play Control on PC, you’ll have to install the Epic store client. Control will release exclusively to Epic’s storefront for a year before it will appear on Steam. Once that is out of the way, check the requirements below to see if you gaming rig is up for the job:
We suspect the above requirements will make sure you can play the game with 30 FPS in 1080p resolution. The game will automatically adjust its graphical settings according to your setup. If your setting is leaning towards the minimum requirements, expect the graphical settings to be set to “Low”. This will impact visuals like resolution, lighting, textures and shadows. Vice versa, if your rig is more in the range of the recommended specifications, your visual experience will improve.
However, the recommended specifications are quite demanding. Even though GTX 1080 Ti graphic cards are of the previous generation, these graphical behemoths still manage to hold up their value! They are succeeded by even more expensive RTX (ray-tracing capable) graphic cards. If you’re lucky to have one of these, you’ll be able to experience Control in full splendour, with all sorts of state-of-the-art lighting and reflection techniques enables. Wondering how that looks? We’ve got you covered.
If you’re planning to upgrade your PC with an RTX graphics card, Nvidia is currently running a promotion that will give you Wolfenstein: Youngblood as well as Control for free with your purchase of select models!
