Last night, Game Informer kicked off their Control coverage by releasing a video interview with Game Director Mikael Kasurinen. During the video Kasurinen is bombarded with questions he needs to answer in quick succession, often resulting in hilarious situations. Jokes aside, to my big surprise Kasurinen actually revealed a lot of new information during the interview. If you have around eight minutes to spare, click here to watch it. If you’re looking for a quick update in text, we’ve got you covered.
Based on the answers given to questions in the video, we can state that Control: will feature audio logs, will have customizable controls (which usually is a given on PC, but not a certainty for consoles), will feature a skill tree, will have no multiplayer, will have various (types of) collectibles to gather, will have no new game plus mode, will have post-launch DLC, will feature in-game TV shows (Come on, which AAA Remedy game did not have this?), will enable you to upgrade weapons, will have no micro-transactions and last but not least will have visual differences between base and enhanced consoles.
