The Old Gods of Asgard performed “Herald of Darkness” live!
The Old Gods of Asgard (Poets of the Fall’s Alter Ego in Alan Wake 2) made a historic live debut, delivering an outstanding performance of “Herald of Darkness.” The band was joined on stage by David Harewood (as Warlin Door), Matthew Poretta, and Illka Villi. A few minutes in, Sam Lake joined the ensemble, and together they danced into the night. A heartwarming scene unfolded as Sam Lake radiated pure delight. The performance, in itself, was extraordinary and undeniably a standout moment of the entire show. Watch it here:
Alan Wake 2 won three awards at The Game Awards!
While Baldur’s Gate 3 claimed the coveted Game of the Year award, Alan Wake 2 took home an impressive three awards. It won in the following categories:
- Best Narrative
- Best Art Direction
- Best Game Direction
An impressive feat and thoroughly well-deserved. Sam expressed gratitude to partners, colleagues, and fans during his acceptance speech, delivering these heartfelt words: “We can make art. And we can be more than the sum of our parts. Our world today could use a bit more of that.” Sam, we adore you – savor this well-earned moment.
